sexual assault response team

The Shelter works with local law enforcement, social service agencies and medical facilities to provide immediate support to victims of sexual assault. In addition, community volunteers are trained through The Shelter to be part of this effort.
The impact of sexual assault is immediate and long lasting. The Response Team assists the survivors at the time of the incident and as they journey through recovery.  Medical, mental health, legal and supportive services are accessed through the teams efforts. The advocate is a constant presence in the life of the survivor through their difficult healing process.
