Emergency Shelter

The Domestic Violence Shelter provides more than just a shelter from violence.  We offer a diverse range of life-saving, supportive and educational services and tools to help survivors and their families escape a life of domestic violence and begin a new life of safety, dignity, and self-sufficiency.

Self-determination is fundamental to interrupting the cycle of violence.  Advocates at The Shelter assist and empower survivors as they develop an individualized plan for themselves and their children.  Each plan addresses practical concerns, as well as other barriers.  Based on their plan, survivors are provided with resources and referrals to appropriate community supports and programs to match their needs.
