At The Domestic Violence Shelter, there are several ways you can help us to help our clients:

We have a volunteer program where volunteers are trained to help with the crisis line, child care, special events and various other tasks. If you are interested in giving the gift of time, please contact Becky at 419-774-5840.

We gladly accept monetary donations either to be designated for a particular purpose, or to be used at The Shelter's discretion. If you are interested in making a donation via credit card (Visa, MasterCard and Discover), please contact our administrative office at 419-774-5843. If you would like to send a check, please make it payable to The Domestic Violence Shelter at P.O.Box 1524, Mansfield, Ohio, 44901. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated, but due to our cost for processing a credit card donation, we ask that you do so with a minimum of $25.00 if using that method of payment. The Domestic Violence Shelter is a non-profit organization and all donations are tax-exempt.

If you have an old cellular phone you are no longer using, please send it to us, or call to make arrangments. These phones are re-programmed to be used as 911 phones for the safety of our clients. Call 800-931-7233 to make arrangements for delivery of your cell phone.

The Shelter also accepts various other donations both for our facility and for our clients in The Shelter or our outreach program. We accept gently used items in good condition. Please call to make arrangments for your donations to be delivered or picked up at 800-931-7233. All donations are tax-exempt, and will be acknowledged with a thank-you letter for your records. Unfortunately we are unable to designate a dollar value for all donations other than cash.
