Training for Professionals

The Domestic Violence Shelter provides training to staff engaged in the helping profession. Training can be customized to the type of agency and the needs of the staff. Topics can include:

Talking to patients/clients about suspected abuse
Recognizing the symptoms in adult abuse

Recognizing the symptoms in children whose parents are victims
Current best practices in treating victims of abuse
Community resources for victims
Impact of abuse on children
